Standard Simax borosilicate glass rods are 1500mm long, they have a circular circumference, and are referenced by their diameter. For both Artistic and Scientific applications, Simax borosilicate glass rod can provide a versatile range of possibilities with its thermal, physical, and chemical resistance. Standard rods can be used in sculpture; either in the body of work itself or as a punty. The relatively low refractive index of Simax rods provide artistic marble makers and optical lens manufacturers an exceptionally clear, durable and stable medium for production.

We are currently out of most of the sizes of Simax rod under 10mm. If the rod size that you order is out of stock, we will contact you with alternatives.
